Washington, January 16 : Oscar-winner Tommy Lee Jones and his `No Country For Old Men' co-star Barry Corbin have been inducted into the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame.

They were honoured at the ceremony in Texas on Thursday in recognition of their cattle-herding credentials.

The honour was bestowed upon them by a committee that celebrates western lifestyle, and pays tribute to those who hail from all-American backgrounds.

Jones is an eighth-generation Texan who raises cattle on his ranch, while Corbin was born in Lamesa, California, but lives and ranches in Fort Worth, Texas.

Jones considers the induction to be his most prized award to date.

"This might be the first time that I''ve taken an award personally. This is the first time in all my long years of award-winning that I wish my granddad could be here," Contactmusic quoted him as telling the 600-strong audience.

Corbin agreed with him, and insisted that it was an honour to be recognised by his "people".

He said: "An award like this is a once-in-a lifetime deal because it is recognition from my people. A lot of these awards are for saying lines good." (ANI)
