Warsaw - Three Polish soldiers were killed in a mine explosion in Afghanistan, a military spokesman told Polish television TVN24 on Wednesday.

Another soldier was injured when their military vehicle hit a mine 20 kilometres south-east of Ghasni.

About 1,600 Polish troops are part of the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan. (dpa)
