Karachi, June 9 : Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for the militant attack on Karachi airport on Sunday night, in which 28 people were killed including ten attackers.

Rizwan Akhtar, the paramilitary Rangers chief, said Pakistani forces were combing through the terminal and would be handing it back to civilian authorities on Monday, Dawn. com reported.

According to Akhtar, some of the militants were apparently Uzbeks.

The attack began after gunmen disguised as police guards with fake IDs stormed the terminal after opening fire with machine guns and a rocket launcher. (ANI)
