TCS wins five-year order from Government of Andhra Pradesh
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the Mumbai-headquartered software giant, has won the country’s largest State Wide Area Network (SWAN) project from the government of Andhra Pradesh on a five year Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) model.
It should be noted that latest deal is the fourth SWAN project, which TCS has secured in a row.
The project envisages connecting state headquarters with 1088 mandals and 23 district headquarters. However, the company did not disclose the financial details of the contract.
Once the project is commissioned, it will enable the government of Andhra Pradesh to start and run various e-governance projects and citizen services. The project would be rolled out in 12 months.
