India's top IT services provider Tata Consultancy Service (TCS), has signed a two-year multi- million dollar deal with Singapore People's Association (SPA) to provide annual Application Management Services (AMS).

It should be noted that SPA is a grassroots government organization under the ministry of community development, youth and sports.

Under the arrangement, TCS will develop and maintain People's Association business and citizen centric applications including mission critical applications, which involves consolidating its multiple vendor environments allowing for reduced maintenance costs and simplified system administration.

Commenting on latest development, a company official has informed that latest tie-up will enable higher process efficiency and staff productivity across the organization. In addition, all these will contribute towards lower cost spent and application maintenance, while improving end user satisfaction and enhancing citizen experience with the agency.

Ahead of positive announcement, the shares of the company today settled at Rs 619 on BSE, up 1.47 per cent compared to its previous close of Rs 610.
