Washington, April 20 : Ronan Keating was so scared after he discovered a lump on his testicles that he started planning his own funeral.

The Boyzone star, whose mother died of breast cancer, confessed that he was a bundle of nerves following the false cancer scare and had even short-listed the songs to be played during his final ceremony.

''It was really scary. I thought I definitely had cancer," Contactmusic quoted him as telling Britain''s Daily Mail.

London, Apr 7 : Ronan Keating has said that he was in a "mess" when he was confronted with a testicular cancer scare on a holiday recently.

The Boyzone singer said that he "panicked" when he discovered a lump on his testicles during a holiday to South Africa.

The 32-year-old crooner said that he was a bundle of nerves for two weeks, before he visited his doctor for a check-up and was given an all-clear chit.

Keating nearly pulled out of his trip when his connecting plane from Dublin, Ireland, was delayed.

"Ronan nearly didn''t make it; it was touch and go,” the Daily Star quoted a spokeswoman for Comic Relief, the charity organizing the trek, as saying.
