Seven Qaeda men, one Taliban among the dead in US air attacks in N. WaziristanPeshawar, Nov 8 : At least 13 persons were killed as suspected US drones fired two missiles at a house in North Waziristan Agency on Friday.

Though it was immediately not ascertained if there were any high-value targets among those killed, but it was confirmed that seven Al Qaeda operatives and a local Taliban commander died in the attack.

The missiles struck the house in Kamshaam areas of Razmak tehsil of the Agency in the morning. The house belonged to a tribesman Ghani Gul.

“Pak to continue operation against Qaeda, Taliban”Peshawar, Nov 8: Pakistan Prime Minister’s Interior Adviser Rehman Malik has reportedly said that the military operation against the Taliban and Al Qaeda terrorists would continue until their total elimination.

He said this while talking to reporters after a law and order briefing at the Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters in Balahisar Fort.

Reiterating the government’s resolve to come down hard on terrorists, he said: “They are killing innocent people, they are enemies of Pakistan’s integrity, they are neither serving Islam nor the country.”

US airstrike kills 13 militants in north-west Pakistan

PakistanIslamabad - At least 13 people were killed on Friday in a suspected US aerial strike in Pakistan's north-western tribal region close to the Afghan border, officials said.

Two missiles believed to be fired from drones targeted a compound in Kamsham village, around 30 kilometres south of Miranshah, the main town in North Waziristan, which is considered a hotbed of al-Qaeda and Taliban militants.

“British govt keen on strengthening democracy in Pak”

Indian, Pakistani traders meet discuss trade modalities

India, PakistanChakan da Bagh (Jammu and Kashmir), Nov 7 : Traders from India and Pakistan met on Thursday at Chakan da Bagh, in Jammu and Kashmir to discuss trade modalities.

Traders from Rawalakot in Pakistan administered Kashmir met traders from Poonch.

The focus of the discussion was to find a way to develop Line of Control (LoC) trade in a meaningful and mutually beneficial manner.

Pakistani traders called for a relaxation in norms to allow traders to visit freely and understand the working of local market better.
