Pak Taliban step up activities in Upper OrakzaiHangu (Pakistan), Nov 2 : The Pakistan’s unit of the Taliban, Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) is learnt to have stepped up their activities in the Upper Orakzai Agency, by abducting at least 10 people including government employees on Saturday.

The Taliban stopped a vehicle at Sarkas and abducted two elders of the Shaihkan tribe, Mir Saeed and Malik Nazeer, reported the Daily Times. 

In a second incident, a serving subedar Ilyas Khan was abducted along with his two sons and two gunmen from the Mushti area. 

Four men of the Ali Khel tribe were also kidnapped.

Asking the world leaders to dissuade NATO and US forces from such incursions, Gilani said claimed that Afghan President Hamid Karzai had also assured him that he would take up the matter with NATO.

CDs supposed to be having Haj information, have Hindi film instead!

Lahore, Nov 2 : Quite to the surprise to many, a Hindi movie was erroneously dubbed on CDs supposed to be containing Haj-related information.

The error was detected only when they landed in the hands of the ultimate users.

The CDs were forwarded to all four provincial offices and travel agents across the country. They were recorded at a private firm in Rawalpindi.

Each CD cost the pilgrims Rs 50.

Some of these CDs, bought from a stall at the Haji camp in Karachi, contained an Indian film, confirmed Karachi Haj Director Abdul Sattar Sameeto.

“I have informed the ministry about the CDs,” the Daily Times quoted Sameeto as saying in a TV interview.

Suicide car bombing kills eight Pakistani soldiers Islamabad - A suicide bomber on Sunday steered an explosive-laden car into a checkpoint at a paramilitary camp in Pakistan's restive tribal region near Afghanistan, killing at least eight soldiers, officials said.

The attack took place at Zalai Fort, which is manned by the Frontier Corps (FC) paramilitary forces, in the South Waziristan tribal district. The camp is located 15 kilometres west of Wana, the region's main town.
