Islamabad, Jan. 2: Pakistan has denied reports suggesting that a Lashkar-e-Tayyaba operative had confessed to his involvement in the Mumbai attacks.

"We have no such information. We don't accept that report," the Daily Times quoted Pakistan spokesman Shahidullah Baig, as saying.

Attacking India for not providing `key evidence' about the Mumbai attacks, Pakistan Foreign Office spokesman Muhammad Sadiq said: "We are awaiting evidence from India to enable our own investigations to make progress. We are currently engaged in the process of our own investigation."

US drone attack kills four al-Qaeda militants in Pakistan

Islamabad - A US pilotless aircraft Friday fired two missiles at a suspected militant hideout, killing four al-Qaeda militants in Pakistan's tribal region bordering Afghanistan, an intelligence official said.

The Hellfire missiles targeted a primary school used by the militants as a hideout at around 10:30 am (0530 GMT) in Maidan Narai village of Ladah, a town in the tribal district of South Waziristan.

"Four foreigners have been confirmed dead and three are injured," said the intelligence official, who spoke on condition of anonymity. The term foreigner is locally used for al-Qaeda-linked militants of Arab and Central Asian origin.

US drone strike kills four militants in north-west Pakistan Islamabad - Two missiles fired from a suspected US pilotless aircraft on Thursday killed four militants in Pakistan's tribal region bordering Afghanistan, an official and residents said.

The missiles targeted a vehicle carrying several Islamist insurgents at around 11:15am (0600 GMT) in Kari Kot area of South Waziristan tribal district, a known sanctuary for al-Qaeda and Taliban fighters.
