Tata Motors To Leave Singur

TATA Motors have, finally decided to relocate its small car project. The company Tata Motors To Leave Singurwould no longer remain in Singur in West Bangal. The decision in this regard has been taken in the meeting between Tata management and the Bengal government.

TATA small car project is facing stiff opposition from various political parties, especially from Trinamool Congress. The parties are demanding back some portion of the acquired land but both TATAs and the state government are not in favor of return the acquired land. However, the state government has done everything to persuade Mamata Benergee to soften her stance Trinamool Congress chief remains adamant.

The public announcement by TATA is likely to come within a weak. The state Industries Minister of West Bengal, Nirpupam Sen admitted on Monday that TATA is leaving Singur. 

Meanwhile, TATA is being invited by many other states to set up the utility in their states. These states include Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Maharashtra and Karnataka.

The economic experts said that it is a big defeat for the industrialization of the West Bengal.
