Talks with Maoists if they abjure violence: ChidambaramNew Delhi, Dec 2 - The Indian government reiterated Wednesday that it was ready to talk to Maoist guerrillas if they laid down their arms.

"There is no dialogue at the moment. I have offered talks if they abjure violence," Home Minister P. Chidambaram said during question hour in the Rajya Sabha.

"We are prepared to talk about any subject provided they abjure violence," he added. (IANS)
