Barcelona - Spanish police Tuesday arrested at least six people on charges related to Islamist terrorism, radio reports said.

The detainees were held in the Barcelona region on suspicion of financing terrorism. Most of them were reportedly of Pakistani origin.

Police searched several addresses. Further details were not immediately available. (dpa)
