Stopping rain, cleaning bathroom with vinegar –strangest guests’ requests Down Under!
Melbourne, Oct 22 : Hotel staff in Australia has revealed some of the strangest requests they received from guests staying with them.
While some hotel guests are plain demanding, others request items or services that leave staff gobsmacked, like making the rain stop, or removing a bed.
The stories, which included a request to clean the bathroom with vinegar, were revealed by travel booking website lastminute. com. au.
“Some of the bizarre hotel requests we’ve received include a traveller who wanted the bathroom cleaned with vinegar before they checked in, and another wanted the bed removed so he could sleep on the floor,” News. com. au quoted Mia Carter, spokesperson for the website, as saying.
Another tried desperately to block out the sunlight in their room, with staff forced to tape up the windows in order to stop the light shining through.
Another traveller wanted to move rooms as he insisted the air conditioner was making strange noises, only to eventually discover the sounds was coming from his own suitcase.
“One traveller asked to move rooms as he insisted there was a strange buzzing coming from the air conditioner,” Carter said.
“After moving rooms, the noise was discovered to be an electric toothbrush in his suitcase,” she added.
Other strange requests include guests asking hotel staff if they can borrow their shoes, drive them to the shops, use their cars and even marry their daughters. (ANI)
