Telecom service provider Spice Communications has informed that it has clocked a net loss of Rs 1,015 crore for the 15 months ended March 31, 2009.

In a filing to Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company said that it has recorded a net profit of Rs 380 crore in the period ended December 2007.

For the latest period, company's net sales stood at Rs 1,580 crore as compared to Rs 957 crore in the fiscal ended December 31, 2007.

During the financial year, the stake of Idea in the conglomerate stood at 41.09% effective October 16, 2008.

Stock of Spice Communications settled the day in red at Rs 65, down 6.15% on National Stock Exchange (NSE). The total volume of shares traded on NSE was 326,029.
