Sona Koyo looks at HCVs for future growth While a host of component makers are looking at fulfilling the current orders of the auto majors in the Indian market.

But the leading player in the component circuit in the Indian market, Sona Koyo Steering Systems has recently said that the company is exploring possibilities to supply its products to heavy commercial vehicle (CV) segment as the company is expecting to increase its sale by around 30 per cent in this fiscal.

Sona Koyo Steering Systems Vice-Chairman and MD Sunjay Kapur told reporters that the company is already a handful of parts to the small commercial vehicle segment with the Tata Ace but the company is now looking at expanding its presence in the HCV segment.

It is to be mentioned here that the company is looking at clocking a figure of Rs. 1200 crore.

The company achieved a turnover of Rs. 912 crore. The company is looking at expanding in the passenger vehicle segment as well. Currently, the company is supplying to Tata for the Nano.
