The sky is not the limit for Frankfinn Aviation

Frankfinn Aviation ServicesAmritsar, Dec 25: Basking in the glory of the success of the Mumbai-based Frankfinn Institute of Air Hostess Training, its parent company Frankfinn Aviation Services has plans to diversify into a regional airline "Air Frankfinn" by the end of the decade.

It's only a decade since Frankfinn Aviation Chairman K S Kohli, a Supreme Court lawyer, entered the Indian aviation industry, and he has already made a name for himself.

He launched his venture with a borrowed sum of Rs 40,000. Today, Kohli's enterprise is worth several millions. However, a modest Kohli credits the "Almighty" for his success.

Kohli used to write articles, poetry and other literary works with "Frankfinn" as his symbolic identification during his college years.

Initially, the authorities rejected the proposed name "Frankfinn," saying that the name did not sound Indian. His publications in his college magazines eventually helped him to register that name.

Kohli says, the change in the government's aviation policy has proved beneficial for him.

According to Kohli, the aviation boom has created a demand for over 25,000 skilled youth.

At first, the Frankfinn Institute offered a non-technical and simple training programme for cabin crew. Established aviation institutions criticised the format.

"In the beginning, it was the seven-day basic crew training programme. But the programme received a tremendous response from clients despite some criticism," said Kohli.

Today, the Frankfinn Institute offers training programmes in air-hostess training, flight stewards training, hospitality and travel professionals in its more than 100 centers across the country.

The Frankfinn Aviation Services franchise has been awarded with Edexcel. Due to this unique accomplishment, the aviation services franchise has made its entry into the Limca Book of Records.

In addition to the institute, Frankfinn Aviation has - Frankfinn Management Consultants and Frankfinn Music.

Kohli envisages his company becoming one of the top ten companies in the aviation and music industry in the next ten years.

"And to achieve this vision, the company is contemplating major expansion and diversification," Kohli said. (ANI)
