Skoda gets aggressive on Facebook

Skoda gets aggressive on FacebookThere is no denying the fact that the online marketing is a new favorite for the marketers across segments.

However, the automobile industry in particular has been one of the most aggressive in this segment. Be it the consumer interest in cars or the innovative campaigns that marketers come up with, online marketing is surely gaining big ground in the global automobile circuit.

While Ford had unveiled its Explorer model first on Facebook, it is now the turn of Skoda's subsidiary in Belgium to attract consumer's eyeballs. For the uninitiated, the company is offering a Skoda Fabia free of cost depending on the number of likes by the consumer.

According to the policy declared by the company, each 'like' on the social networking portal will deduct one euro from the cost of the car. While the user can also share it on his profile and persuade his friends to like the link. Market watchers are considering the campaign to be a big hit as with 8% of the total world population on Facebook, there is no denying that it will give a lot of visibility to the Skoda brand. It is to be mentioned here that companies like Mahindra, Tata, Maruti and Chevrolet are also very aggressively marketing their products on FB.
