Samsung has released updates for its popular i8910 Omnia HD smartphone. The company is offering JB1 firmware for download to support the phone.

The model was proficient when considered on the hardware features however it lacked software support from the company. Now the company has finally made JB1 firmware available for download. It can be downloaded through a PC Studio 7.

This update will enable features such as Kinetic scrolling in the menu, an advanced web browser and improvement in the settings of the camera and video recordings. The voice recording in the phone also improves with the new update.

The browser can load to full screen automatically. No changes have been made with the existing features like Wi-Fi, the Bluetooth and the GPS connectivity.

This firmware however offers only 17 MB of free space as against 30 MB earlier. Faster bug fixes and web browser are some other updates in the model.
