Sajid Khan: Public reaction more important than critics

Sajid-KhanDirector Sajid Khan has said that the reaction of the public matters to ihm more than the critics. Critics have called him 'big mouth' but he doesn't mind and believes that people decide the prospects for a movie not the critics.

Actor turned Director is about to release his second film "Housefull".

"The fact is that critics don't have to tell me whether my film is good or not. It is the job of the audience and they would decide if 'Housefull' works for them," said Sajid.

He said that despite some reviews and rating given to the film critics as well as the audience will watch the movie many times. Akshay Kumar is the leading actor in the movie along with Riteish Deshmukh, Arjun Rampal, Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta, Jiah Khan, Boman Irani, Chunky Pandey and Randhir Kapoor.

The film has the music from Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and will relese on April 30. Sajid often resorts to making fun of actors and the critics and he did so recently at an award function.

He expressed that some the big critics have made serious mistakes in the past.

He cited the example of three starts being given to both 'Aladin' and '3 Idiots'. He said one was the biggest hit and other was the biggest flop. Some of the moves that went on to become major hits were given only one star while some movies that were flog receives rating of more four of five starts.

He has put in a lot of money in the movie and he is not very concerned about reactions from the critics.

He claims that the movie will be one of the biggest entertainers of the year.
