RVP protests against Kejriwal, accuse him of betraying differently-abled people

Arvind-KejriwalKanpur, Mar 2 : Members of Rashtriya Viklang Party (RVP) on Sunday shouted slogans against former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, ahead of his road show in Kanpur.

Kejriwal, kickstarted his mission to woo voters of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday and began a three-day election campaign.

Kejriwal said his enemies were spiralling price rice, corruption and communalism that are crippling the common man of the country.

However, supporters of RVP said that Kejriwal betrayed differently-abled community and indirectly supported External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid.

"He has betrayed anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare, he has betrayed the differently-abled community and also the people of Delhi. Now he wants to betray people of the country which we will never support," said president of RVP, Birendra Kumar.

Kejriwal has fielded a differently-abled candidate against Khurshid for general elections. However, members of RVP allege that the candidate, Mukul Tripathi, is not a fit candidate against Khurshid and his chances of winning were slim.

Meanwhile, as his road show entered Hardoi, Kejriwal was shown black flags by supporters of the Congress.

"He has not failed to fulfill his promises and we don't want the people of Uttar Pradesh to get influenced by him, so we have greeted his procession with black flags," said leader of student wing of Congress, Vikram Pandey.

In a bid to widen its area of influence ahead of general elections, Kejriwal kick-started his three-day road show on March 01, saying if BJP comes to power, corruption and price rise will continue. (ANI)
