Moscow - Russia's air force has been put on a higher state of readiness in watching for North Korea's anticipated launch of a booster rocket, military officials said Saturday.

Military spokesman Sergei Rosha disclosed that Su-27SM jet fighters had been scrambled in order to keep watch over Russian air space, the Interfax agency reported. (dpa)
