Oscar winning sound engineer, Resul Pookutty will be honoured by Pattathuvila Karunakaram Memorial Trust Award during 'Shanti Sangeetha Sandhya' led by legendary Indian singer K. J. Yesudas on April 1 at the Swaralaya Open Air Auditorium, Kollam.

Education Minister M. A. Baby will present this prestigious award to Resul which along with a citation and a trophy also has a cash prize of Rs. 25,000. Singer Yesudas will also give away this year’s Swaralaya K. P. A. C. Sulochana Award to playback singer P. Susheela during the function.

The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 5,000, a trophy and a citation. P. Susheela is receiving this award for her great contribution to the growth of South Indian film music. – Sampurn Media
