Renee Zellweger shunned celeb status for Obama’s inauguration
Washington, Jan 30 : Hollywood actress Renee Zellweger was so desperate to watch US President Barack Obama's inauguration that she shunned her celeb status and veiled herself among the two million civilians swarming the nation''s capitol.
The 39-year-old actress insists she was content to give up the company of celebrity revellers who watched Obama take his oath from the front rows.
"I just had to be there. I was a bit obsessed... so, with no tickets, and no plan, and no access, I got on a train and I just went," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.
"I walked for three hours and stood on a police barricade... I was prepared for the crowd, I was prepared for the cold, I wasn''t prepared for how emotional it was going to be.
"I am so glad I was there, regardless of the fact I couldn''t feel my toes for three days after the fact," she added. (ANI)
