London, February 26: U. S. President Barack Obama will be honouring multi-Grammy winning soul legend Stevie Wonder, 58, with the Library of Congress's 2nd annual Gershwin Prize for Popular Song at the White House.

Wonder receive the honour at a concert hosted by the President and his wife, Michelle. He will also give a performance at the concert.

Paul Simon, the only other recipient of the Gershwin Prize, is also set to give a performance.

Soon, the Martian moon Phobos would be visited by "Earthlings", in the form of an assortment of critters and microbes scheduled to make a round-trip journey to the natural satellite as passengers aboard a Russian spacecraft, scheduled to launch in October this year.

According to a report in Discovery News, the mission, called Phobos-Grunt, aims to return samples of the Martian moon to Earth for analysis.

It will be the first Russian-led mission to Mars since the loss of the Phobos 1 and Phobos 2 probes in 1988 and the botched launch of the Mars 96 spacecraft.

Washington, Feb 26 : A new study has indicated that small robots the size of riding mowers could prepare a safe landing site for NASA's Moon outpost in the future.

The study, by Astrobotic Technology and Carnegie Mellon researchers, analyzed mission requirements and developed the design for an innovative new type of small lunar robot under contract from NASA's Lunar Surface Systems group.

Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris originally scripted the drama, but it was later rewritten by Brian Helgeland.

A 130 million-dollar budget has been earmarked for the film’s production, and the producers are hopeful of benefiting from favourable exchange rates and tax credits that come from shooting in London.

"I grew up a vegetarian. Then, because I grew up in the states, I started slowly eating meat. First it was bologna sandwiches, or pepperoni on pizza. As a teenager, [my friends and I] would always go have burgers. I would scarf them down!" People magazine quoted the Top Chef host, as saying.

Washington, Feb 26: Ranbaxy Laboratories, India's largest drug manufacturer, manipulated data and laboratory tests for generic drugs that had been approved for sale in the United States at its Himachal Pradesh facility, the US Food and Drug Administration has said.

The FDA disclosure marks completion of the first phase of a probe it had begun soon after Japanese drug major Daiichi Sankyo entered into an agreement with Ranbaxy's promoters to acquire majority shares in the company for over four billion dollars, becoming Daiichi subsidiary in November 2008.
