Washington, Oct 4 : The world’s largest computing grid has been launched, which would tackle mankind’s biggest data challenge from the Earth’s most powerful accelerator – the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
Known as the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid (WLCG), it combines the power of more than 140 computer centers from 33 countries to analyze and manage more than 15 million gigabytes of LHC data every year.

According to the Washington Post, the debate was also the second-most-watched political debate, ranking behind the October 28, 1980, debate between President Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan, which logged nearly 81 million viewers.

Washington, Oct 4: Pakistan will be “the single greatest challenge to be faced by the next American President,” according to a report.
The report titled “The Next Chapter: The United States and Pakistan” by a group of Pakistan experts contains a number of recommendations for Pakistan as well as the US.
The report emphasises that the US cannot afford to see Pakistan fail, nor can it ignore the extremists operating in Pakistan’s Tribal Areas.
Afghanistan cannot succeed either without success in Pakistan, and vice versa, the Daily Times quoted the report, as saying.
