New Delhi, Apr. 5 : Two suspected members of Pakistan-based militant organization Jaish-e-Mohammed have been refused bail by a Delhi POTA court.
Accused brothers, Raees-uz-Zama and Atique-uz-Zama, had sought release on bail for two months to attend marriage of their younger brother, but a special judge for POTA rejected their plea.
"Keeping in view the circumstances coupled with the gravity of the offences with which the accused were charged with, their plea for interim bail was declined," the judge said.
New Delhi, Apr 4 : Congress leader and Union Minister Kapil Sibal on Saturday said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Varun Gandhi was a victim of nexus between the saffron party and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).
"I think this is a political game of the BJP and the BSP. They have a nexus; BJP wants to benefit itself from Hindutva. On the other hand, the BSP wants division in the minority vote," Sibal told reporters here.
New Delhi, Apr 4 : The Election Commission on Saturday issued a notice to senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Jaswant Singh for violating the Model Code of Conduct.
Singh has been accused of distributing money in Gajaria village of Barmer constituency in Rajasthan.
Singh's son Manvendra Singh is fighting the Lok Sabha election from Barmer.
Barmer District Magistrate Ravi Jain had sent a detailed report and a video recording of the incident to the Election Commission.
