New Delhi, May 4 : Expressing concern over rising food prices, the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) on Sunday called for an immediate global response and a cut in food wastage.
“We need to build a global platform for dialogue and action to manage the crisis,” the CII said in a statement.
New Delhi - At least 15 people were killed when the jeep they were travelling in collided with a tanker in India's western city of Mumbai on Sunday, police said.
Three other passengers were injured in the accident that occurred on a highway in the city's Navi Mumbai area.
"The victims included 10 women, three children and two men. They were part of a group from the western Satara district who were coming to attend a wedding function in Mumbai," inspector R Patil said.
The injured were admitted to a local hospital, he added.
