No future alliance with PPP: PML-NLahore, Aug 30 : Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khwaja Asif has told media persons here that there is no possibility of an alliance with the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in the immediate future.

Alleging that the PPP Government is destroying the judicial institution, Asif said that Law Minister Farouk Naek is distributing cheques worth millions of rupees for this purpose.

The Daily Times quoted Asif as saying that the PML-N is in touch with the PML-Quaid and hoped to improve such contacts further.

Pak prisoners hide cellphones by stuffing them up their rectums!Lahore, Aug 29 : Prisoners in Pakistan have found a novel way of hiding their cell phones, albeit a bit painful, by stuffing them up their rectums!

In a raid conducted by the Lahore Police, a total of 37 cellphones were recovered, with some of them hidden inside the prisoners’ rectums and detected while they passed under a metal detector.

According to the Daily Times, seven of them had to be operated upon at Services Hospital to get the phones out of their bodies.

Bookies claimed that numerous police officers had also placed bets with them on Zardari’s name for the post of President.

A bookie, requesting anonymity, reportedly said that many people were placing their money on Zardari, as they believed that he would win the presidential elections, reported the Daily Times.

The prosecution lawyer said that the account holder’s name was confidential and could not be disclosed.

The case was withdrawn as the Pakistan government had withdrawn its earlier allegations against Zardari, the Daily Times quoted the lawyer as saying.
