Over 3000 Indian Sikh pilgrims to arrive in Lahore for Guru Nanak JayantiLahore, Nov 11: More than 3000 Sikh pilgrims are expected to arrive in Lahore from India, mostly from Amritsar, at the Wagah Border today to commemorate the 540th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Jee at Nankana Sahib on Thursday.

The Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) and the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee (PSGPC) are the two main authorities that deal with Sikh affairs in Pakistan.

Malik, who had a life ban for alleged involvement in match-fixing overturned last month, had said on Tuesday that he had accepted an offer from the PCB to become head coach at the NCA.

Yousuf (34) had left for India on Monday without informing the PCB about his decision to join the ICL. His name was included in the 15-member squad for a three-match ODI series against the West Indies starting next week in Abu Dhabi, but was dropped when it was revealed that he had joined the ICL.

ICC to look into Malik’s appointment

International Cricket CouncilLahore, Nov 5 : The International Cricket Council (ICC) is all set to inquire into the appointment of Salim Malik, the former Pakistan captain, as the head coach of the country’s National Cricket Academy, according to an ICC spokesperson.

“We will write to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and ask them to explain after hearing media reports which say that Malik has been given a position of responsibility in the current Pakistan cricket set-up,” the spokesperson told a cricket website.
