Lahore, July 11: Two unclaimed sealed containers with radioactive material were reportedly found in the Korangi area of Karachi.
According to inspectors of the Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA), the containers were found buried in an area owned by the Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDC).
The PNRA is now making efforts for the safe disposal of the material, reported the Daily Times.
The Authority said that its nuclear inspectors had detected radioactivity from the containers, and that they were waxed and sealed so posed little risk, added the paper.
