Ahmedabad, Sept 19 : The family and relatives of Indian-origin American astronaut Sunita Williams celebrated her birthday with fanfare in Gujarat today.

Washington: The United States on Wednesday told that it desires to work jointly with India in arenas of international peacekeeping operation, regional foreign plan, safety and financial system.

The Bush government stated that it is rather responsive to what the demands of India are in pioneering technologies and remains much focused on what has to be done.

According to the news reports, India is likely to hold discussions with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for precautions relating to its nuclear agreement with the United States.
 
The sources said that the Indian administration would like to hold talks with IAEA after the middle of October.

India-specific safeguards are crucial for the operationalization of the nuclear deal and New Delhi is required to hold negotiations with the IAEA by the middle of next month if it is to get the agreement cleared by early next year.

New Delhi: According to Health Ministry sources, the AIIMS convocation in which the medical students were to be granted degree certificates has been delayed to October.

Now, the students were to be honored their degree certificates by Union Health Minister, Anbumani Ramadoss, on September 25.

The sourced stated, “The Minister has prior appointment on September 25 and the date of convocation was fixed without his consent.”
