Security, terrorism to figure prominently in Indo-Pak Home Secretary level talksNew Delhi, Nov. 25 : Terrorism, counterfeit currency, drug -trafficking, exchange of prisoners and visa regime will be high on the agenda at the fifth round of Home Secretary level talks between India and Pakistan to be held in Islamabad today.

The talks are part of the on-going composite dialogue process between both nations. These talks will be held in the backdrop of the recently initiated cross-LoC trade which is being seen as a big step towards bringing both countries closer.

India, Turkey and Israel to discuss pipeline project

India, TurkeyNew Delhi - India has scheduled talks with Turkey and Israel next month for a pipeline project that could help it access crude supplies from the Central Asian and Caspian region, a news report said Tuesday.

"It is not a simple project," Turkish energy minister, Hilmi Guler, told the Mint business daily. "In one month there will be a trilateral meeting between India, Israel and Turkey. This meeting is likely to be held in Turkey."

India seeks enhanced economic co-operation with Vietnam

President Pratibha PatilPresident Pratibha Patil has favored enhanced economic cooperation between India and Vietnam through "walking together". She also called for linking their commercial hubs Mumbai and Ho Chi Minh City as "sister cities".

"As our two nations stood by each other in the past, and as we stand now at the threshold of prosperity, it would be our endeavour to walk together, hand-in-hand, for future cooperation," Patil said at a dinner in Ho-chi-Minnh city.

The dinner was hosted in her honour by Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Le Hoang Quan.

Vice President presented with Communal Harmony Flag
