Uma Bharti starts reconciliation moves with BJP?

BJS national conference on Friday New Delhi, Mar. 17 : BJP’s Prime ministerial candidate Lal Krishna Advani has found a supporter in Bhartiya Janshakti Party chief Uma Bharti, who has now come out in support of his candidature.

In a letter to Advani, Bharti is believed to have expressed her support for the veteran leader, sources claimed.

Interestingly, Bharti had left the BJP accusing Advani of partisan behaviour.

A close aide of Bharti reportedly delivered her letter saying that she would be “happy to see Advani in the Prime Minister''s chair.”

Police file FIR against Varun Gandhi

Police file FIR against Varun GandhiNew Delhi, Mar 17 : Uttar Pradesh Police on Tuesday registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Varun Gandhi in Pilibhit for his alleged inflammatory speech against Muslims.

The case was registered under Section 153A of the Indian Penal Code.

Earlier in the day, the Election Commission filed a criminal case against Gandhi for his inflammatory speech against Muslims.

The Commission also directed the District Magistrate of Pilibhit to file the case against Gandhi.

Lalu Prasad faces revolt within party

Lalu Prasad YadavNew Delhi, Mar 17 : Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav faced revolt within his party on Tuesday when his brother-in-law, Sadhu Yadav, declared that he would contest from a seat left for Ram Vilas Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (LJP).

Sadhu’s challenge came after the RJD announced a seat-sharing deal with the LJP in Bihar on Tuesday morning, where his name did not figure in the list of nominees.

Sadhu lashed out at Lalu and said he would declare his future strategy later.

Bihar leads the country with first Right to Information call centreNew Delhi, Mar 17 : Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) chief Ram Vilas Paswan and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, on Tuesday strongly pitched for a secular form of government in Bihar while announcing the seat sharing arrangement between the two parties in the state.

Out of the 40 seats, the RJD will contest 25 seats and the LJP will contest 12 seats. The remaining three seats have been left for the Congress.

Indian scientists find three new bacteria in stratosphere

Bangalore, Mar 17 (ANI): Indian scientists have discovered three new species of bacteria, which are not found on earth and highly resistant to ultra violet radiation.

These new micro-organisms were found in the upper stratosphere.

The species have been named as Janibacter Hoylei, Bacillus Isronensis and Bacillus Aryabhata respectively.

According to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), a balloon experiment was conducted using 26.7 million cubic feet balloon carrying a 459 kilograms scientific payload soaked in 38 kilograms of liquid neon.

The payload consisted of a cryosampler containing 16 evacuated and sterilised stainless steel probes.
