New Delhi  - Bank manager Sudhir has never heard of credit derivates and has no clue about investment funds. He is just about capable of doing basic arithmetic and calculating interest rates.

But while his counterparts in posh Western office towers worry about gaping holes in their balance sheets, the 13-year-old's business is going strong.

Still, the bank's staff and customers are far from free of fear of losing their livelihoods. They are street children in India's capital, New Delhi.

Mumbai, Mar 19 : Union Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma on Thursday said the Pakistan authorities should take action under the international law and the bilateral assurances given by them.

"It is the duty of Pakistan to take action under international law and the bilateral assurances and treaties that have been given," Sharma said at a press conference here.

New Delhi  - Suspected Maoist rebels gunned down a Hindu leader in the Kandhamal district of India's eastern Orissa state that saw weeks of bloody Hindu-Christian riots in 2008, news reports said Thursday.

A group of 15 to 20 armed Maoists killed Prabhat Panigrahi Wednesday night in Rudiguma village of communally-sensitive Kandhamal, about 200 kilometres west of state capital Bhubaneshwar, IANS news agency reported, citing police.

Panigrahi was a local leader of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, a Hindu hardline organization.

Allahabad, Mar 19 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Varun Gandhi on Thursday moved the Allahabad High Court challenging the criminal case lodged against him on the directives of the Election Commission for his alleged anti-Muslims remarks.

He claimed that the whole issue was created by his political rivals and was the result of a political conspiracy.

“It was a part of a political conspiracy to spoil my political career and tarnish my secular image,” Gandhi said.
