New Delhi, Dec. 5: A senior adviser on foreign affairs to German Chancellor Angela Merkel has quoted India’s National Security Advisor, M. K. Narayanan, as saying that India has no intention of declaring war against Pakistan in the wake of last week’s terror attacks in Mumbai.

Grafschaft, Germany - The German military commissioned its first spy-in-the-sky satellite system on Thursday, enabling it to peek through clouds or the darkness of night at any spot on the planet.
The synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) system uses five satellites that bounce radar pulses off the earth. Sophisticated computers convert the returning signals into a picture of the ground that can resolve features just 50 centimetres in width.
Germany is to share the data with France, which operates Helios II military satellites that photograph the ground in the daytime.
Berlin - Germany's key chemical industry said Thursday it was bracing itself for a slump in sales next year as global demand contracts in the wake of the world economic downturn.
The German Chemical Industry Association (VCI) said it expects 2009 sales to drop by 1.5 per cent in 2009 after rising by about 3 per cent this year.
"The mood in the German chemical industry has become less optimistic," the VCI said.
