Cologne, Germany - Cologne captain Umit Ozat an Saturday announced the end of his footballing career due to heart problems.

Ozat, 32, has not played since collapsing on the pitch during a Bundesliga match with SC Karlsruhe on August 29, 2008.

Medical examinations revealed myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle. He overcame the illness, but doctors in the United States and Germany advised him to quit high-performance sport because he could suffer more heart problems in the future if he continued.

Cologne, Germany - Rescuers Thursday located another body in the rubble of the Cologne city archive nine days after it collapsed, dragging two other buildings with it.

It was not immediately clear whose body it was, they said. Rescuers had been searching for a 24-year-old man, identified only as Khalil G., missing since the collapse.

They said the body would take a long time to removed, as it was located nine metres below ground level. It had been located by sniffer dogs.

Cologne, Germany  - The body of a man missing in the collapse of the Cologne city archive building was recovered early Sunday under the rubble, the fire department said.

Two young men, who were believed to be in apartments in an adjacent building, had been missing since the collapse on Tuesday. The identity of the man whose remains had been found was not yet known.

Cologne, Germany  - Rescue teams Wednesday morning restarted the search for missing people after the collapse of the western German city of Cologne's historical archives centre and two neighbouring buildings.

Overnight, police lowered the number of missing people to two, while other reports still spoke of five missing. Earlier, police had spoken of nine missing, but subsequently lowered the number.
