Rachida Dati leaving Sarkozy''s government in style

Rachida Dati London, Mar 29 : Glamorous former French Justice Minister Rachida Dati is making sure that her last days at the post fall no short of her “high style quotient”.

After being shunted out of government, President Nicolas Sarkozy was expecting Dati to keep a lower profile and avoid being photographed in expensive designer clothes in celebrity magazines.

The 43-year-old single mother, however, is enjoying an unprecedented wave of popularity and exposure as she works out her notice.

Last week, shortly after it was announced she had been voted the most "symbolic woman" of the beginning of the 21st century in a French poll, it was revealed that beauty had agreed to take part in a TV programme entitled Vie Privée, Vie Publique (Private Life, Public Life) in which she is shown with her baby daughter and family.

Few days after France''s celebrated waxworks museum the Musée Grevin – the Paris equivalent of Madame Tussauds – announced it was creating a model of Dati. The museum revealed that the work will be unveiled in September, reports The Telegraph.

Dati also left her critics and colleagues surprised by agreeing to appear on the front cover of the current edition of the celebrity magazine VSD.

Dati is one of 12 children of a Moroccan builder and an Algerian mother. She was appointed justice minister after Sarkozy was elected in 2007.

She recently announced she wanted to run for mayor of Paris in 2014. (ANI)
