Prince Charles’ 60th birthday present is a free bus pass!
London, November 15: Prince Charles, who joined the senior citizen club on November 14, can now drop his ‘travel worries’ as he has been gifted with a free bus pass for his 60th birthday!
The Prince of Wales, who till date wheels his Aston Martin presented to him by the Queen on his 21st birthday, cut the cake decorated as a concessionary travel voucher.
According to the Telegraph, the senior Prince, who will now be able to travel free on off-peak local bus services anywhere in England, was amused with his birthday present as he toured Prince''s Trust projects.
The eldest son of the Queen and Prince Philip, who said he cannot ‘feel anything’ as he turned 60, smiled for the cameras and humoured the media by adding: “Sixty years of trying my patience.”
The King''s Troop Royal Horse Artillery had fired a 41-gun salute in Hyde Park to mark the occasion - the first time they were directed by the Queen to carry out the salutation in her son and heir''s honour. (ANI)
