Pune-headquartered Praj Industries has informed that the company has received a contract worth Rs 120 crore (GBP 15 million) for supply of key equipment to Vivergo Fuels, UK through its subsidiary, BioCnergy Europa B. V. (a Joint Venture with Aker Solutions, Netherlands).

The plant is designed to produce approximately 400 million litres of ethanol fuel per year (1,200,000 litres per day).

This will be the fourth bioethanol plant by Praj Industries in Western Europe.

Praj Industries Limited, together with its subsidiaries, offers process and project engineering solutions primarily for the distillery, brewery, and wastewater treatment and utilization industries. The company has operations primarily in Asia, Africa, and South America.

Recently, the company has announced its Q4 and FY08 numbers. It has posted Q4 net profit of Rs 58.1 crore as against Rs 27 crore in same period of last year and net sales of Rs 213 crore versus Rs 201.4 crore.

Its FY08 net profit stood at Rs 153 crore and net sales at Rs 702 crore.
