While the small and medium industries in the Gurgaon region have been ready for the power cuts with the start of the summer season but the extent to which it is happening is certainly pinching the bottom lines of these industrialists.

It is believed that the industries in the Gurgaon region shed an extra amount of up to Rs. 200 crore every day due to the power cuts that are happening in the industrial region. According to an industrialist, several parts of the industrial area are getting a supply of only three hours a day while in some areas it is less than an hour, which is making the working conditions unviable.

Notably, in absence of a proper power supply, these units are burning diesel worth Rs. 4-6 crore every day to run their operations which is hurting the companies at a large scale.

Moreover, Gurgaon Industries Association has said that the industrial region has got a supply of only 90 hours in the past 23 days. It may be noted here that approximately 15,000 business units operate from Gurgaon and Manesar region.
