Pepsi launches new 20-ounce bottles
US based beverage giant, Pepsi has announced that it is launch new 20-ounce bottles after a period of 17 years for the customers around the world.
The new bottle has a contoured bottom half, which makes it easier to hold. The bottle also comes with smaller sticker so that more of the drink can be seen. The new bottle has easy-to-grip design, youthful packaging and visible brand features. The new design is part of the company's"Live for Now" marketing campaign.
A company spokesperson said that the campaign focuses on "the insight that Pepsi fans all around the world desire to capture the excitement of now - a mind-set that is aligned at the very core with the brand's DNA."
The newly designed single-serve bottles will be rolled out to the markets from April this year and the roll out will be completed in a period of two years. The company is also planning to use the new design on the 16-ounce bottles other brands, such as Diet Pepsi and Pepsi Max.
Pepsi, which is based in Purchase New York, is struggling to compete with rival Coca Cola and has lost some of the market share to the company. The redesigning of the bottle is a part of the effort to regain the market share and compete better with Coca Cola.
