Sir David Attenborough bags Bafta, 48 years after first winLondon, April 27 : Sir David Attenborough, the BBC''s voice of natural history programmes for more than 50 years, has repeated his success at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, 48 years after bagging his first BAFTA trophy.

The 82-year-old was honoured for his wildlife series Life In Cold Blood that went on to win the specialist factual category.

Reduce human populations to protect wildlife, says AttenboroughLondon, April 13 : Sir David Attenborough, a prominent British broadcaster, has stressed on the need to reduce the number of people on Earth to protect wildlife in the future.

According to a report by BBC News, Attenborough has become in a line of patrons of a group seeking to cut the growth in human population.

On joining the Optimum Population Trust, he said that growth in human numbers was "frightening".

Sir David AttenboroughLondon, October 27 : Sir David Attenborough would not have expected that his visit to the zoo could coincide with staid frogs rekindling their desire and doing the needful.

Much to the surprise of the Reptile House keepers, the Mission Golden-eyed Tree frogs, that had seen three years without mating, produced between 40 and 50 offspring.

The keepers revealed that they had previously tried to get the carnivorous frogs in action but had failed though Sir David’s visit seemed to have brought back the charm amongst the amphibians.
