Washington, Feb 10: Cancer-stricken Hollywood actor Patrick Swayze has urged American leaders to help fund cancer research.
The `Ghost' actor, who has been battling pancreatic cancer for over a year, requested through a letter to a leading newspaper, in which he wrote that the country's leaders should take necessary steps towards cancer research.
Washington, Feb 6 : Hollywood actor Patrick Swayze, who has been in the news for his agonizing battle with cancer, has confirmed that he is all set to pen a tell-all memoir with contribution from his wife Lisa Niemi, which will throw light on his "deeply personal" details.
The `Ghost' actor will be revealing all about his life, including his colourful childhood, his acclaimed career, his lovely marriage, and his painful battle with pancreatic cancer.
The memoir, expected to hit the market in the autumn this year, is being predicted to become a guaranteed best seller.
Los Angeles - A representative for actor Patrick Swayze on Thursday denied widespread reports that the actor had halted treatment for pancreatic cancer after doctors told him there was nothing more to be done.
"The reports are not true. Patrick is continuing his treatment," Annett Wolf, a spokeswoman for the actor told People magazine.
Swayze, 56, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last March and was in hospital earlier this month after contracting pneumonia.
The actor has vowed to fight his cancer, telling People recently, "I am alive and plan on continuing to stay that way."
