Aussie moms, who have adopted children from Africa, were frustrated that Madge was able to adopt new daughter, Mercy, 4, in Malawi on April 1, just two years after she adopted David Banda.

For Carmel and Jeff Stormer of Newcastle, it had taken them more than four years to adopt brothers Kidane and Yohi, now 10 and 12, from Ethiopia, and had to pay 20,000 dollars.

The two spent the boys-bonding time together with the help of an interpreter, and Yohane revealed how his “very special” lad failed to recognise him, and asked: "Who are you?"

Malawi court defers ruling in second Madonna adoption bid Lilongwe, Malawi  - US pop star Madonna's attempt to adopt a second child in Malawi is to be decided on Friday, when a court rules on her quest to adopt a four-year-old sister for her adoptive son, David Banda, the judge said Monday.

The 50-year-old singer was in Malawi High Court in the capital Lilongwe on Monday for a hearing on her application for an interim, 18-month adoption order for Chifundo (Mercy) James.

Judge Esimy Chombo reserved ruling in the case.
