Melbourne, Apr 2 : Queen of pop Madonna's second adoption from Africa has infuriated Australian mums, who say that it would have taken them six years to do the same.

Aussie moms, who have adopted children from Africa, were frustrated that Madge was able to adopt new daughter, Mercy, 4, in Malawi on April 1, just two years after she adopted David Banda.

For Carmel and Jeff Stormer of Newcastle, it had taken them more than four years to adopt brothers Kidane and Yohi, now 10 and 12, from Ethiopia, and had to pay 20,000 dollars.

London, April 1 : Madonna has reportedly been told that her application filed for the adoption of second African orphan will succeed.

The Queen of Pop, who adopted three-year-old David Banda from the country in 2006, recently appeared in Malawi's High Court to request judges to let her take home four-year-old Mercy James, whose teenage mum died three years ago.

The singer allegedly told Judge Esmie Chombo that she would be a "deeply loving mother" and would care for Mercy as her own child.

Washington, April 1 : Millions of dollars raised from Madonna's Malawi fundraiser last year have no address, it has emerged.

According to Fox News, the estimated 3.7 million dollars remain unaccountable after repeated inquiries to The Gucci Foundation and the singer's Raising Malawi charity.

The Queen of Pop had previously urged her fellow celebrities to donate for the cause, which is backed by Jewish mysticism Kabbalah and dedicated to helping Malawi''s one million poverty-stricken orphans.

London, March 31: After being recently reunited with his biological father in Malawi, Madonna’s adopted son David Banda asked him who he was.

Peasant-father Yohane met his three-year-old son at the Kumbali Lodge where David is staying with Madonna and her other kids, Rocco, eight, and Lourdes, 12.

The two spent the boys-bonding time together with the help of an interpreter, and Yohane revealed how his “very special” lad failed to recognise him, and asked: "Who are you?"

Lilongwe, Malawi  - US pop star Madonna's attempt to adopt a second child in Malawi is to be decided on Friday, when a court rules on her quest to adopt a four-year-old sister for her adoptive son, David Banda, the judge said Monday.

The 50-year-old singer was in Malawi High Court in the capital Lilongwe on Monday for a hearing on her application for an interim, 18-month adoption order for Chifundo (Mercy) James.

Judge Esimy Chombo reserved ruling in the case.

Washington, Mar 30 : Queen of Pop Madonna has blasted critics who have slammed her second Malawian adoption bid, insisting it is "none of their business."

The 50-year-old is currently in Malawi to make 4-year-old Mercy James legally hers. James' 18-year-old mother had died five days after giving birth to her.

However, the singer's adoption plans have been hit by opposition from officials - as well as the girl's family, reports Contactmusic.
