Special court orders medical test to determine Kasab’s ageMumbai, Apr 24: A special court on Friday ordered an inquiry to determine the age of Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab, the only survivour attacker of Mumbai terror attacks, by April 28.

The court’s order came after Kasab claimed to have been a minor at the time of Mumbai carnage.

Judge M. L. Tahiliyani said a radiologist and a forensic dentist would examine Kasab. Tahiliyani has also allowed special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam to examine witnesses comprising doctors and jailor.

Mumbai Court Orders Medical Test To Determine Kasab’s Actual Age A special court in Mumbai, has ordered a medical examination to decide the actual age of the prime accused in Mumbai terror attacks case Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab.

Judge M L Tahiliyani permitted special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam to probe three witnesses that includes doctors and jailor on April 28 to find out Kasab is not a juvenile.

The court also ordered doctors to carry out ossification and dental examinations to settle on whether arrested terrorist Kasab’s actual age, and submit a complete report before April 28.

Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam on Monday said that a map showing locations such as Chowpatty, Malabar Hill and Raj Bhavan was recovered from Ismail’s pocket.

SG Abbas Kazmi, who was appointed Kasab's lawyer, had earlier claimed that he was a minor and that the trial should be held in a juvenile court. The court, however, rejected the application moved by Kasab's lawyer.
