Mumbai, Mar 23 : The trail of Mohammed Ajmal Kasab, the lone terrorist captured in the Mumbai terror attacks last year, will begin before Special Judge M L Tahilyani here today.
Kasab will appear by video link from the Mumbai Jail when the hearing starts at the Sessions Court.
Earlier, Mumbai Police sent the chargesheet against Kasab to the Home Ministry. Police has also sent answers to the 30 questions asked by the Pakistan authorities.
It is now Centre's prerogative to send reply to the Pakistan Government.
Mumbai, Mar 21 : Mohammed Ajmal Kasab, the lone terrorist captured in the Mumbai terror attacks last year, is reading Mahatma Gandhi's autobiography `My Experiments with Truth' for the past one week.
Kasab is reading the Urdu version of the autobiography.
The 500-page book is often given to inmates as part of jail reforms and recreational programmes. The book is available in the jail library in several languages, including Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, English, Kannada, and Urdu.
New Delhi - Mumbai police are seeking the death penalty for the lone gunman captured alive in terrorist attacks on the city in November last year, news reports said Saturday.
Jayant Patil, home minister of Maharashtra state, said police demanded death for Ajmal Amir Kasab, the PTI news agency reported.
Kasab, of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist group, will face trial for murder and "waging war against India."
Mumbai, Mar. 9 : The Mumbai terror attack case could be transferred on Monday from Metropolitan Court to the Sessions Court.
Ajmal Kasab, the lone terrorist captured in the attacks and two other accused, Fahim Ansari and Sabahuddin, will be tried in the case.
Metropolitan court may determine if it can commit the high-profile case to a special Sessions Court, as it does not have the jurisdiction to try the case under the murder charges among others.
The Sessions Court is to be set up inside the Arthur Road jail, where Kasab is expected to be tried.
