Pakistan stocks plunges on selling

Karachi Stock ExchangeKarachi - Pakistan stocks down by 0.8 per cent on Thursday on technical correction due to oversold position by brokers, dealers said.

The key KSE-100 Index lost 113 points to close at 14,479.87 points as compared with 14,593.44 points on Wednesday.

"This is just a technical correction the overall market sentiments are still firm," said dealer Ateeq Ahmed, at Capital One Equities.

Ahmed said the market would show an upward momentum tomorrow (Friday) as prices in the future boards have gone up, showing that brokers and investors are bullish. (dpa)
