Vienna - The price for crude oil produced by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) fell to 57.77 dollars Tuesday, the oil cartel said Wednesday.

One barrel (159 litres) of OPEC crude fell by 1.26 dollars on Tuesday from 59.03 dollars on Monday.

OPEC calculates an average basket price based on 13 important brands produced by its members. (dpa)
