O2 or Vodafone - A comparison
A comparative analysis of the mobile broadband networks resulted in draw for the networks of O2 and Vodafone.
An independent survey of the networks measured the speeds of all cellular broadband services to track the speediest network. Tests were carried out at various times during the day, seven days a week, at 150 locations over a 60 day period - with the intention of copying general usage patterns or the GUP in order to get a genuine picture of what speed the users are really getting.
The findings suggest that the leader in case of web browsing is Vodafone throughout five cities; O2 was ranked higher in case of downloading followed by Vodafone. Broadly the first place was bagged by either Vodafone or O2 as the rest like T-mobile, Orange followed the league.
Although these tests hold no ground in providing concrete evidences but the bottom line is it acts as a boon for the consumers who can have a rough perspective of the network compatibility. This study holds good for personal reference as it is a no location specific data and can't be used to determine who is fastest in your particular area, leaving the critical question 'Which network should I choose?'
