Nokia and its new Symbian

Nokia and its new SymbianNokia has launched its own version of smartphone operating system (OS). It is named as OS Symbian^4.

Symbian is a totally new platform which allows a revamp in the product provision system of Nokia. This is beneficial for the company since it is in line with the touch screen features of the Finnish giant.

As the video of the OS platform suggests, one can observe that it bears a similarity to the existing interfaces. This is a very good thing both for the company and the users.

However, the current scenario demands for an interface which has point of parity which Symbian lacks to offer.

Of course Symbian^4 lets the user freely place widgets on the customizable home-screen. But given today's scenario, that alone isn't enough.

It will be interesting to see how the launch version of Symbian^4 turns out as there are ample number of competitors to knock it off.
